The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a May robbery of a fast food restaurant.On May 1, 2013, at approximately 12:20 pm., a lone female walked into a fast food restaurant situated along the 100 block of Mann Avenue. The suspect grabbed the entire cash register and walked from the restaurant while an employee was otherwise occupied. When the employee became aware of what was transpiring, he followed her outside, at which point the suspect produced a knife and threatened the employee. The register and knife were located by police, a short distance away, in a building on a Wiggins Private. The suspect may have dropped the items and left the building before police arrived.
